Charley Harper's What's in the Rain Forest?

Zoe Burke · 2013
82/100
👍 Worth It

Charley Harper's graphic-art illustrations alone make this worth owning — the stylised elegance of his Monteverde painting is genuinely beautiful, and the foldout full-painting reproduction at the back is a lovely touch that elevates this well above a typical picture book. Burke's rhyming text does its job cleanly, and thirty species in one slim volume is a real nature-education win for the 3-to-7 set. A keeper for any young household that loves both animals and beautiful objects.
