Ant Parker's artwork is bright and approachable, exactly right for the age. The honest caveats are modest: independent critical coverage for this specific 2018 volume is sparse, and the content is minimal beyond basic counting — there is no real narrative to speak of. As an early-numeracy board book for toddlers and preschoolers, though, it does its job well.
