This Lucent educational overview does exactly what the Great Sports Teams series is designed to do — give young readers a solid franchise history with player profiles and research pointers. The problem is that it stops before the 2005 World Series, which is the defining modern chapter of the White Sox story. Young fans wanting current history will need something newer.
