Dance with Me

Charles R. Two kids dancing down the street pull an entire town into motion, and Smith's rhyming text is built to be read aloud with movement. Noah Z. Jones's bright illustrations carry a parallel visual story that rewards looking as much as listening. The book is part of Candlewick's Super Sturdy Picture Books line, which is the right format for toddler hands. The honest caveat is that depth is not the point here — this is a joy delivery mechanism, not a story with lasting narrative substance.
