Almost 70 years in print and still going strong — that's the only review a classic like this really needs. Syd Hoff's gentle story of a boy and his museum dinosaur hits every mark for a beginning reader: short sentences, warm humor, and just enough adventure to hold a four-year-old's attention through the whole book. The 60th Anniversary edition adds a nice behind-the-scenes bonus for grown-ups who want to share a little book history with their kids.
