The mummy twist is genuinely fun and the manners theme gives this franchise extension a little more educational meat than usual, but it's a posthumous sequel using Hoff's style rather than the real thing, and the plot is as thin as you'd expect from 32 pages. Families already devoted to Danny and the Dinosaur will enjoy it, but if you're new to the series, start with the 1958 original — it's simply better.
