Dinosaurs in My School

Timothy Knapman Β· 2015
91/100
πŸ‘ Worth It

Timothy Knapman and Sarah Warburton bring their dino-invasion formula to the classroom, and the result is exactly as energetic and silly as the premise promises. A boy is the only one who can see the dinosaurs causing havoc around his school, and hidden-dinosaur elements throughout Warburton's bold illustrations mean children will want to page through it more than once looking for what they missed. The rhyming text is built for read-aloud, and the humor lands squarely in the three-to-seven sweet spot. The storyline is thin β€” the fun is almost entirely in the illustrations and the interactive hunt β€” and readers who have already met this team in Dinosaurs in the Supermarket will notice the formula. But as a high-energy, repeatable picture book, it delivers.
