The Harriet Tubman volume addresses slavery and racial injustice thoughtfully and age-appropriately; the Florence Nightingale volume covers wartime nursing and death in honest historical context. The honest caveat is that the series format can feel formulaic, and the slug references the series rather than a specific title, which limits precision. For school reports or independent history reading by ages eight through twelve, this is a well-made resource.
