CM Magazine called it excellent back in 1993 and the glossary-and-index format genuinely serves classroom research, but a 1992 publication date is a serious problem for a book where species status and conservation data are the entire point. What was endangered then may be recovered or extinct now, and those are not small details. It belongs in a historical context unit rather than a current science shelf.
