This is a gentle, well-abridged introduction to English folk tales for the very youngest listeners, and it's a safe, mild listen with nothing to worry about content-wise. It's thin on substance, though — it's a trimmed taste of the real Jacobs collection rather than the whole thing, and I couldn't even confirm this is a fresh 2025 recording rather than an older one relisted. Fine for toddler bedtime, but Johnny Morris's warm, familiar voice is the main reason to reach for this one.
