At 24 pages this is movie merchandise, not a picture book with independent literary standing. The holiday moral is clear and the format is harmless for young children, but there is no narrative development, no critical reception to evaluate, and no reason to seek it out unless a child is a devoted fan of The Santa Clause 3. It does its narrow job, but that job is very narrow.
