Every Shiny Thing

πŸ‘ Worth It

Jensen and Morrison pull off something genuinely difficult: two distinct voices in two different formats, both emotionally authentic, exploring privilege and disability without ever turning preachy. Sierra's verse sections are a highlight, and the moral complexity of Lauren's Robin Hood scheme gives kids real ethical questions to chew on. This is one of the better middle-grade novels for classroom discussion of social justice themes.
