Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
Fairy Tales Stories for Children, the Light Princess and Hans in Luck
Rogil · 2016
The two tales here — George MacDonald's The Light Princess and the Brothers Grimm's Hans in Luck — are genuine classics worth preserving, and The Light Princess carries lovely Christian allegorical undertones that faith-oriented families will appreciate. The problem is entirely the edition: self-published through CreateSpace with no editorial review, no verified production quality, and no original contribution beyond compiling public-domain texts. Families would be better served by a vetted illustrated collection of MacDonald's work or a quality Grimm anthology.
