Five Happy Frogs does exactly what a toddler counting book should do — it gives kids a singable rhythm, bright pond imagery, and a simple number sequence to follow. The musical origin genuinely shows in how naturally the text flows when read aloud. It is a narrow book for a narrow audience, and the frog-at-the-pond concept has plenty of competition, but for a two-to-five-year-old it is a cheerful, functional choice.
