The 1985 Sesame Street film this is based on is a genuine children's classic, and the found-family message translates cleanly to the page. But as a novelization it adds nothing original, and an antagonist built around a foster-care situation may confuse or upset some families. A fine choice for Sesame Street fans; not a strong standalone recommendation.
