π Worth It
Adventures in Odyssey consistently delivers faith-grounded historical adventure that kids actually want to read, and this Underground Railroad installment is one of its more meaningful entries. The historical weight of the subject is handled with age-appropriate care, and the time-travel conceit keeps kids engaged without trivialising what enslaved people actually endured. Best read in series order, but a strong, values-rich pick for 8-to-12-year-olds.
