The concept is solid — symbiosis explained through concrete animal pairings with quality wildlife illustration — but there's essentially no critical record to confirm how well it executes, and the design is likely showing its age after more than two decades. For a library or classroom that already has strong nature titles, this is a nice supplement; as a standalone purchase it's hard to recommend with confidence.
