This is a branded TV tie-in coloring-and-activity book that does its job for preschoolers who love the Cat in the Hat PBS series — it reinforces the alphabet and introduces animals in a format kids enjoy. But it offers very little that a non-fan couldn't get from countless other alphabet activity books, and the dossier confirms it lacks independent editorial review or stand-alone depth. Fine if your child is already a fan; nothing special otherwise.
