Goodnight Ganesha

👍 Worth It

A genuinely beautiful bedtime book — Poonam Mistry's patterned illustrations alone make it worth seeking out, and the warm grandparent-grandchild tenderness translates across cultures. It celebrates Hindu tradition honestly and includes a glossary so families unfamiliar with the context can follow along. More mood poem than plot, but for a bedtime read that is exactly right.

✦ Penny’s Take — this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read — not a page-by-page personal one. The gold ✓ Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
⚠ Parent note — our reviewers flagged: features Hindu religious imagery and ritual; families from other faith traditions should preview. We still scored it 84; these are context for your family, not an automatic skip.
