Rowling keeps the mystery and heartbreak coming in equal measure here, with Draco's arc and the Horcrux hunt giving the story real weight beyond just school hijinks. The witchcraft is fictional and the values underneath are solid — loyalty, sacrifice, courage — though the on-page death makes this heavier than earlier books. And Jim Dale's narration is simply a masterclass, worth the listen on its own.
