Hurricane! is a perfectly safe, fast-paced CYOA entry with a creative mad-scientist-controls-the-weather premise that middle-grade readers will enjoy. The 16 branching paths give it replay value, but the thin characterization and episodic structure keep it squarely in the disposable adventure tier. Worth a rainy afternoon flip-through, but not a must-have.
