A 14-page Scholastic character-education booklet that does exactly what it says on the label — honesty for very young children, simple language, simple illustrations. The problem is the thinness: at this length the content is essentially a lesson plan prompt rather than a book, and the didactic framing risks feeling preachy to the kids it's meant to reach. Fine as a classroom supplement, but not something most families need to seek out.
