This anthology is a little treasure chest of five classic Donaldson tales, and the title story handles loss and memory with such gentle warmth that it earns its emotional weight. The strong documentation behind Donaldson's own catalogue and each illustrator pairing gives me real confidence here. The rotating celebrity cast — Tennant, Staunton, and friends each taking a story — makes for a genuinely lovely, theatrical listen worth the time.
