Stagg's Weekly Kindness Challenge — say sorry, be polite, take turns, help, include, show respect — gives this book a practical edge that extends well beyond storytime, and schools and libraries have adopted it widely for good reason. The weakness is that it reads more like a structured lesson than a story, so as a read-aloud it feels instructional rather than emotionally engaging.
