Lost and Found

Oliver Jeffers · 2008
88/100
👍 Worth It

Oliver Jeffers gets children exactly right here — the boy's earnest, logical approach to the penguin's problem is both funny and tender, and the reveal that the penguin was lonely rather than lost hits harder than it should for a picture book. Adults read it alongside children and feel something too. One of the better modern picture books in any collection.
