Children's ✦ Penny’s Take

This is a perfectly competent entry in a commercially popular nonfiction series — bright photos, fast facts, stickers — that does exactly what it promises for a space-curious four-year-old. The problem is that it does nothing distinctive: the content is thin, the format is generic, and there is no critical recognition to separate this volume from the dozens of near-identical space books for young children. A fine impulse buy at a book fair, but not a title to seek out.
✦ Penny’s Take — this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read — not a page-by-page personal one. The gold ✓ Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
