This licensed Disney board book does what licensed board books do — put familiar faces in toddler-friendly format with flaps and pop-ups. It is not without charm for a devoted Buzz Lightyear fan, but it has no narrative, no staying power, and fragile pop-up elements that will not survive a determined two-year-old. There are richer interactive books at this age and price point.
✦ Penny’s Take — this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read — not a page-by-page personal one. The gold ✓ Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
