Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
Michael Foreman's Classic Fairy Tales
Michael Foreman · 2013
80/100
👍 Worth It
Michael Foreman's watercolors alone justify picking this up — the illustrations are genuinely beautiful and the retellings preserve the authentic edge of the originals rather than softening everything into mush. Parents of very young children should know a few stories carry some genuine scare factor, but for the 6-and-up crowd this is a handsome, lasting family book.
