Midori Goto is a genuinely inspiring subject — a Japanese prodigy who made it to Tanglewood as a child — and this short biography introduces her story at an accessible reading level for grades 2 to 4. At only 30 pages it barely scratches the surface, and there's been little critical attention to tell us how well the writing actually handles her life. Solid for a school report, but not a book that will stay with a child.
