My Book of Feelings
Tracey Ross developed this interactive picture book from her own experience parenting children with FASD and autism, and that lived grounding shows in how practically it's built. Emotions are sorted into sharp feelings and fluffy feelings, each with simple language, clear illustrations by Rosy Salaman, and concrete strategies for managing what comes up. For children with attachment difficulties, learning disabilities, or autism spectrum needs, the Autism Awareness Centre and similar organizations endorse it as a genuine tool. For neurotypical children without specific emotional regulation challenges, it will likely feel thin β this is a specialist resource, not a general read-aloud. No narrative, purely didactic. But within its lane, it fills a real need, and the author's credibility is earned. Worth it for the audience it was designed for.
