Children's β¦ Penny’s Take

π Worth It
A light, funny middle-grade novel that earns its keep with reluctant readers through a journal-entry format and an absurd but relatable premise. The message about authenticity over popularity is delivered without being preachy, and Missy is a better supporting character than the genre usually bothers to provide. Don't expect deep character work, but for an 8-to-12-year-old who thinks reading is boring, this one might stick.
