The bilingual availability and the parents' guide section at the back are genuine assets, and the emotional intent is warm. But a critic flagged the book as preachy with simplistic emotional scenarios, and the omission of grandparents who face illness or cognitive decline is a real limitation for a series explicitly designed to help children talk about big feelings. Functional and safe, but not particularly memorable or honest in its emotional range.
