My Little Angel

Sherrill Cannon packs a lot of practical safety teaching — stranger danger, seatbelts, street crossing — into a story that never feels like a checklist, and the guardian-angel frame keeps the warmth front and center. The rhyming is accomplished enough to earn its awards, even if the occasional forced couplet shows up on a read-aloud. For faith-affirming families with little ones, this is a genuinely useful picture book.
