The science concepts here — the ISS, satellites, orbital mechanics, weightlessness — are real and age-appropriate, and having Joanie find courage for a spacewalk gives the STEM content a genuine emotional hook. Self-publishing limitations mean editorial polish and illustration quality are uncertain, and the distribution is narrow. If your child is already obsessed with space, this series is worth a look, but it's hard to recommend it broadly over established STEM picture books.
