Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
Nature Stories

👍 Worth It
Thirty Enid Blyton nature tales in one volume is a generous and genuinely pleasant package — her warm, uncomplicated prose about hedgehogs and fawns and woodland creatures is exactly the kind of bedtime or story-time material that stays in children's memories. Blyton is occasionally critiqued for dated social attitudes in her other work, but nature collections of this type are straightforwardly charming and the Hodder presentation with Mark Beech's illustrations gives the package a fresh look.
