Night of the Living Cavemen

A perfectly adequate 128-page middle-grade adventure that delivers its Halloween-adjacent thrills in a familiar, safe package for 8-12 year olds. The Ghostwriter franchise had a genuine literacy-promotion purpose, and the museum setting is a nice touch. But three decades on, the cultural references are dated, the plot is thin even for its length, and there is little here that distinguishes it from hundreds of similar titles. Fine if a child is already a Ghostwriter fan; not worth seeking out otherwise.
