Otis the ostrich delivers a warm, repetitive rhyme about asking for help and getting it back in return — a message kids genuinely need. The illustrations are vibrant and the read-aloud rhythm is solid. But the plot is thin and the critical record is almost nonexistent, so it is hard to recommend over the many stronger titles in this space.
