One-minute Animal Stories

Shari Lewis knew children's entertainment and the classic fable tradition gives these stories dependable moral footing — the one-minute format was genuinely useful for bedtime in the 1980s and holds up for reluctant readers. The problem is that the book is out of print, formal critical evidence is thin, and the format feels dated beside contemporary picture books that do more with the same page count. A good find at a library sale but not a title to seek out.
