π Worth It
A gentle, values-rich adventure with beautiful multicultural illustrations and a teamwork message that lands clearly for the 7-to-12 crowd. The educational nature sidebars on Mammoth Cave are a nice bonus, and the magic is the soft fairy-tale kind with no dark edges. New readers will want to start earlier in the Fairy Chronicles series to get the full context, but as a standalone it still works well for classroom use.
