Duling is a proven nonfiction author and the video game history angle is an effective hook for upper elementary readers who would otherwise resist nonfiction. At 32 pages the depth is genuinely thin, and technology history in this space dates fast. A solid classroom supplement for reluctant readers but not a title with much staying power.
