DK's sound-button board book does its job for ages one to three — six animal sounds, simple rhymes, durable construction — and it's stocked everywhere for good reason. The honest limitation is that it's a toy-book hybrid with minimal content, and sound buttons wear out. Fine for a gift or library copy; not worth seeking out over comparable interactive options.
