The themes are lovely — friendship, kindness, a pink castle and a fairy companion — and the short length suits bedtime perfectly, but at least one reader review flagged that the writing needed more editorial polish, and no mainstream critics have weighed in to push back on that concern. Small-press picture books can absolutely be charming, but without stronger evidence of craft quality this one is a hard recommendation to make when the shelves are full of more thoroughly tested options.
