Colman was a respected YA voice in her era, and a morally complex Depression-era story about a Jewish teenage girl and a secret will has genuine potential. But nearly fifty years on, with no current critical coverage and sparse documentation, it is hard to assess how it reads today versus how it read then. Worth a look for library archives or Colman fans, but a hard general recommendation to make.
