Rapunzel is a genuine classic with universal themes of love, resilience, and freedom — and in a strong illustrated edition, it's a beautiful addition to any child's library. The important caveat is that editions vary significantly: the original Grimm text includes a blindness scene and a pregnancy implication that sanitized editions remove, so parents should check what they're buying before handing it to young children. A great choice in the right edition.
