Children's ✦ Penny’s Take

👍 Worth It
The doodle-to-complete format is a genuinely clever publishing idea that makes each copy one-of-a-kind and keeps drawing-loving kids completely engaged — no other children's book does exactly this. Plot and character are deliberately skeletal because the child's imagination is the point. Once filled in it can't really be re-read fresh, which limits its life, but as an activity-meets-story experience for the right 6-to-11-year-old it punches well above its weight.
