Holland's picture-book biography gives early readers a clear, respectful introduction to Parks and the Montgomery bus boycott at a level they can actually absorb, and the photographs help the history feel real rather than distant. It's brief and inevitably simplified, and there are now more detailed treatments available, but as a first door into civil rights history for a six- or seven-year-old, it does its job honestly. A useful classroom and library pick.
