Children's β¦ Penny’s Take
Rotten School #4
R.L. Stine Β· 2009
71/100
π Worth It
Stine leans all the way into comedy here and the result is exactly what it promises: fast, silly, and designed to keep a reluctant eight-year-old turning pages. Bernie Bridges is an appealing schemer, the football-scholarship premise is absurd in just the right way, and the short chapters mean there is always a reason to read one more. It is not deep, but it does not pretend to be β and for its audience, that is the right call.
β¦ Penny’s Take β this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read β not a page-by-page personal one. The gold β Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
