74/100
π Worth It
Tiger Tales delivers a bright, age-appropriate retelling of the classic Grimm story with Loretta Schauer's cheerful illustrations doing a lot of heavy lifting for little hands and laps. The baby-bargain premise is inherent to the tale and handled as gently as the source allows, so parents of the youngest readers may want to preview it first. As a read-aloud for the 3-7 set, it earns its place on the shelf.
