Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
Saturday Night at the Dinosaur Stomp
Carol Diggory Shields · 2008
78/100
👍 Worth It
This is pure read-aloud joy — Shields's rhyme has real bounce, and dinosaur names that seem impossible to say out loud somehow become part of the fun. Nash's illustrations are exuberant and the concept of prehistoric creatures throwing a dance party is exactly the kind of joyful silliness that makes storytime great. Thin on plot, rich on delight.
