Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
Science Fair Nightmare

The Mighty Mighty Monsters series does its job — colorful monster-friends in relatable social situations make for an appealing reluctant-reader hook, and rivalry-versus-friendship is a genuinely useful theme for ages six to ten. But this individual volume is thin on story even by graphic-novel-series standards, the monster premise will prompt a preview conversation for faith-conscious families, and there is nothing here that distinguishes it from the rest of a seventeen-book series. Fine for a library shelf; not a standout pick.
✦ Penny’s Take — this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read — not a page-by-page personal one. The gold ✓ Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
⚠ Parent note — our reviewers flagged: monster/Halloween imagery — some conservative faith families may want to preview. We still scored it 65; these are context for your family, not an automatic skip.
